Buddy was a man who liked to keep himself busy, whether it be with SyndroCorp, work around the house, or simply walking down the street. He was constantly working, always doing something, and that was just the way he liked it. Even as he walked down the street, his shoes lightly clicking along the concrete, hands shoved in his pockets, his mind was ticking, going over plans and blueprints that he had taken to memory. They were plans he had come up with late at night a few weeks prior, ideas for new weaponry that he would create in secret, away from watchful eyes of the government and the NSA. There were other plans he was thinking of as well, however; plans that were much more lighthearted - Expanding his library back at Pine Manor. Being an intelligent man, reading was one of his favorite ways to kick back and simply relax, and he was desperate to get his hands on a new collection to stock up his bookshelves.
Entering the quaint store, Buddy’s eyes immediately rested on a pretty little blonde, a smirk instantly appearing against his lips as he ran a hand through his hair. “Morning,” he said, taking a few steps towards her, his gaze periodically shifting to the wide array of books that were around him. “You can, actually. I’m just looking for something to entertain me. Any sort of genre, really.” Giving a playful smile, he glanced up at her, “Care to assist me?”
She hopped down from her tall chair and moved around the counter, glad her ankle was fully healed now and all that remained was the grotesque scar. “Well, what piques your interest most?” She asked, he didn’t seem like the kind to read cutesy romances, then again he might surprise her and say just that. She never wanted to assume.
“Since you said genre I am guessing you want novels and not cookbooks and how-to things, oui?” She asked. She walked towards the new arrivals, “This is where the new books go before I circulate them to their proper spots.” She explained.
“There’s a lot of things that pique my interest,” he said cooly, placing his hands behind his back as he followed the blonde towards a set of books, his eyes scanning over the titles, trying to determine which ones would be fit for his collection. “Drama, horror, history.. Romance,” he managed to say, a cocky grin displayed proudly on his mouth as he turned on his heel and continued to walk down the aisles, brow twitching ever so slightly.
“I’m Buddy, by the way,” he said, taking a random book off the shelf and flipping through the pages, “Buddy Pine. What can I call you, sweetheart?”
